Housekeeping : The following measures will be taken to keep up the overall building hygiene during construction: ? Use construction practices that minimize the production of dust and other contaminants from construction activities. Use integral dust-collection systems on drywall sanders, cut-off saws, and routers. Confide dust generation activities to well-ventilated areas where cleanup can be carried out easily and contaminants will not be tracked to other areas. Use wet rags, damp mops, and vacuum cleaners with high-efficiency particulate (HEPA) filters to clean up dust generated by construction activities. Increase cleaning frequency when dust accumulation is noted. All spills and excess applications of solvent-containing products should be cleaned up using approved methods as soon as possible. Mop water spills up promptly. Containers of paints, finishes, and solvents shall be kept tightly sealed and preferably stored outside of the building when not in use. Scheduling: The following measures will be taken to ensure no materials are unnecessarily damaged and cleaning occurs during times when it is most effective: Complete applications of wet and odorous materials such as paints, sealants, and coatings before installing absorbent materials such as carpets, insulation, gypsum products, and fabric covered furnishings. Allow time in the schedule for the finishes to cure. To aid in the curing of interior finishes and other products used during construction and to remove pollutants after drywall installation is complete, provide adequate ventilation with 100% outside air and proper filtration.

VERIFICATION Field Verifications: Conduct appropriate verifications at rough and final to ensure required practices are being implemented. Additional field verifications may be necessary.
