Learn to Hula! Learn to Hula! Gwen Kennedy has been a Polynesian dancer since the age of 2 1/2, appearing on stage at Honolulu Harry’s Club Waikiki in Chicago at the age of 3. Her career has included working in the office as well as performing for Hawaiian Airlines for ten years. In 1983 she opened The Barefoot Hawaiian, Inc., which is the home of a 150-member Polynesian show, a Hawaiian Shop, and two dance studios focusing exclusively on Polynesian dance. Hula Honeys Ages 4–7 Children learn the basic foot movement and hand gestures of the Hawaiian Hula appropriate for their age group.
