Dominoes is a game of
matching that’s fun
and easy to learn.
If you have played
traditional dominoes, then we can’t wait to
introduce you to some of our favorite game
variations. Try Chicken Feet, Blind Hughie, or
One Arm Joe! Games begin at 5:30p. Come
hungry, because after a few games we will
take a break for pizza. Then, it will be time
to put your architectural prowess to work.
Moms and sons will create their own unique
domino falls. Set ’em up and knock ‘em
down. Try zig zags, spirals, or crazy maze
patterns. Before the night is out, we’ll all
work together to create a gym-size fall and
go for the world record. (It’s 303,621. But
who’s counting?)

Explore Old World Wisconsin
A Family Day Trip For All Ages
Sunday, October 5
Return to the Wisconsin of the late 19th
century, when waves of immigrants came
to America’s heartland in search of a
better life. We will travel to Old World
Wisconsin, a vivid re-creation of working
farmsteads and settlements established
by European immigrants in America’s
heartland. We’ll see teams of oxen and
horses working in the fields, farm folk
preparing hearty meals over wood-burning
stoves, a one-room school house, and
heirloom plants in well-tended gardens.
We’ll stroll through the Crossroads Village
to chat with the town blacksmith and the
keeper of the general store. An authentic
homemade lunch is included. cy
Min/Max: 10/20
Old World Wisconsin is a 90-minute ride
in our Park District van. The trip departs
from and returns to the Prairie Lakes
Community Center.
Note: parents with children under 8 years
old must provide their own booster seats.
