DOWNSIZING IN AUSTRALIA
Quite frankly, this was happening all to quickly for them and
they wanted to slow down and take time to think things over. I
said sure, not a problem, although I had to point out that they
ran the risk of losing their first option, as the development was
selling really quickly — especially to downsizers.
Jack and Sarah left the display that day and we stayed in touch
for the next several days.
Two weeks after our initial meeting, I had to call Jack and Sarah
to inform them that their apartment had been purchased by
another couple who were in similar circumstances. That couple
had not hesitated.
My phone call broke their hearts as they were close to making
the hard decision to go ahead. But they had left it too late and
they had missed out.
