Atlantis Dubai’ s underwater hotel
Atlantis, The Palm is a 1,539 room, oceanthemed destination resort located at the centre of the crescent of the man-made Palm Island in Dubai. This US $ 1.5 billion joint venture project was developed with Dubai Government owned, Istithmar. Opened in September 2008, the resort utilises the 46-hectare site with 17 hectares of water park amusement, further marine and entertainment attractions and a collection of some of the most renowned restaurants including Nobu, Ronda Locatelli, Ossiano and Rostang-The French Brasserie. Atlantis, The Palm offers an unprecedented entertainment centre, an impressive collection of luxury boutiques and shops and extensive meeting and convention facilities. Blue waters Island project brings world’ s largest Ferris wheel to Dubai
Dubai is set to build the world’ s largest Ferris wheel, nearly 250ft taller than the London Eye, to be completed in 2015.
Called the“ Dubai Eye,” it is set to be 690ft tall and attract more than three million visitors a year.
The attraction is part of a one billion pound entertainment project called The Blue waters Island.
The fake island will take two years to build, with the entire project set to finish in 2016.
“ The Dubai Eye will distinctively dominate the Dubai skyline,” Abdullah Al Habbai, chairman of developers Meraas holding, told The National.
“ This project will continue to build on the Emirate’ s reputation as a leader in the global entertainment and retail landscape.’
The first phase of construction will include the island itself, the Dubai Eye and entertainment and retail zones, with lowrise residential buildings set to be added by 2016. ameinfo. com

Dubai plans £ 1.7bn development with theme parks, 100 hotels and the world ' s largest mall
Dubai is set to break its own record for the world ' s biggest shopping mall with plans for a new mega-development complete with a shopping centre that could welcome 80 million people a year.
The new ' city ' will cost £ 1.7 billion and is set to boast up to 100 hotels, five distinct theme parks based on films, animals and characters from brands all over the world.
Universal Studios will host an attraction and there will also be a Bollywood theme park, staging musicals aimed at attracting Indian visitors and enriching Dubai.
Mohammed bin Rashid City, named after the emirate ' s ruler, will be located just outside the city ' s current Downtown area.
It will also have a water and marine life park that can host 16 million visitors annually, a children ' s theme park dedicated to safaris and adventures in the desert, plus museums and art galleries.
The huge shopping complex will overtake the Dubai Mall as the largest in the world and will aptly be called the Mall of the World. A public green area expected to be 30 percent larger than London’ s Hyde Park will surround it. dailymail. co. uk
