Versace The Luxurious Elegance
Versace Company was established in Milano in 1987 by Giovanni Versace, one of the most renowned and creative fashion designers of the twentieth century. It carried the Italian symbol of excellence around the world, and this is reflected in the trendy, modern, and stylish collections it offers. Versace Company was not only limited to fashion design, it also remarkably reached the world of interior design through designing lots of hotels and castles around the world. What characterized the Versace collections is the Greek inscription that is extracted from the classic world, and that has been redesigned in a trendy and neoclassical way revealed through the choice of lavish materials.
During the Versace Home Beirut opening event, which was held on the 18th of February 2013, Dorchester Magazine interviewed Gabriella Saracino, Versace Licensing Division Director, who gave us a broad idea about Versace work, sources of inspiration, and the noticeable effect it has on the international fashion world reaching Lebanon.

What can you tell us about Versace experience, particularly the magical touches that he left on Palazzo Versace in Dubai with success currently rated to 90 %?
Versace has been pioneering the field of fashion hotels with the opening of its first, Palazzo Versace, in 2000 on the Australian Gold Coast.
Since then, we have implemented our long lasting expertise in interior design projects, which has made Versace become a standard bearer of Italian luxury in the“ hotellerie” arena.
What is the relation between fashion design and interior design? Who and what’ s Versace‘ s source of inspiration especially when it comes to interior design?
From the very beginning, the creative universe of Versace has always encompassed many disciplines, not just fashion, but also design in the broadest sense and the essential art of living.
Versace Home collection was therefore a natural extension of this interest. Created in 1992 initially as a textile home collection, it soon became a complete home collection able to express the Versace lifestyle into everyday living.
