DM: How many hours do you stay in the studio?

MDP: Usually when I hit the studio it's for 4 to 8 hrs at a time. I get about 3 to 5 songs done. I work really fast.

DM: Do you write your own lyrics?

MDP: All my lyrics are written by me. The day I need a ghost writer I will quit rapping.

DM: I understand brother so that means you are a perfectionist?

MDP: Not usually. I just get it done and I'm on to the next task.

DM: I see. Your with freeway music group which is a hot commodity, what new tracks do plan on releasing from your mixtape/album?

MDP: Me and the CEO of Freeway Music Group haven't been seeing eye to eye. I'm my own boss. I make my own moves and control my own fate. I've got my mixtape, "WARSET vol2", dropping real soon and my album will be out before the end of the year. It's called "Broken Hearts and Shattered Dreams". I've got features from Ms Toi, K9, Hot 16, Lano, Franco da Gawd, Mr. knowdat, Big Bukz, Lord Vichous and more.

DM: Wow change is good though. When did you first realize you wanted to become a rapper?

MDP: When I did my first paid gig. I did a one hour show and got $2500. After that I was addicted.

DM: I can digg it show me the money huh. Do you have any regrets in pursuing this career?

MDP: It's not certain. There are few certainties. One month you can be ballin. The next month you might be fucked up financially. There's a lot of snakes and shady dudes I've come across.

DM: and that is everywhere not just hip hop but it seems to be predominantly in the entertainment industry. What obstacles did you have to overcome to get this far?

MDP: Legal issues, a bitch ass, weak ass former record label, fake friends, street beefs, death threats, crippling depression, and my own thought process at one point.
