Even Bishop Emeritus Rodrigo Mejia SJ., who was presiding
over the ordination, nodded in response to the active liturgy
and blended it with his humorous and terse homily.
The big question is how can we expand such groups in our
Church? Can we can tap such talents in music, drama and
poetry to expand the youth groups.
We could use social media channels like Facebook and
WhatsApp groups to recruit, educate and attract many teens
and youth to the Church.
They say in the land of Isukha, where I come from, that the
wood on the rooftop always laughs at the one in the fire and
haughtily avoids the ashes.
We cannot close our eyes and brazenly purport not to see
truly cryptic issues bombarding our younger brothers and
sisters in the church.
Once we help our parishes in talent nurturing and involving
our young ones in the liturgy then the number of youths will
increase.
Such a procedure will primarily curb the dwindling number
of youths, enhance creativity and educate them on how to
handle their lives appropriately as Christians.
