What needs to be done in order to find a lasting
solution for recurring teachers strikes in the
country?
The government should give teachers a decent pay just as it
pays its top officials. Let it not have money to waste through
unnecessary trips, corruption & the rest unaccounted for. It is
time for teachers to be considered.
Samuel Aisa – Nairobi Kenya
Pay them, that’s the solution. Who does not need good pay?
Joseph Kimanzi Kimaah – Nairobi Kenya
If the government keeps its promise to pay teachers their
dues, the strikes will end.
Tasha G Njoki – Nairobi Kenya
Pay them

Kudos Githurai Youth
Dancers
I must confess that the performance by the Githurai
Catholic Church dance troupe on Saturday August 29, 2015
spiritually uplifted me.
What a colourful dance!
We were gathered at Consolata Seminary Langata to witness
the ordination of Deacons Dominic Otieno, Bernard
Mwanzo and Jasper Njuki.

THE SEED - VOL 27, No. 10 OCTOBER 2015
While music from the Githurai parish choir reverberated and
Christians ululated with excitement, the talented Githurai
dance troupe composed of energetic lads and girls amazed
everyone as they artistically and rhythmically danced to the
drum beats, dumtiriri dudum!
The vijana before the naked sun portrayed how we can keep
the Mass alive today.
I rubbed my eyes severally to ensure that it was neither a
video nor drama and perched myself on a treetop lest I miss
the entire episode.
