What got you into music, and what are your influences?
For me it started with KISS! Then after some albums like Aerosmith, Frampton and a general discovery of different bands, I heard Van Halen's first album and was blown away. I ran out and got a
guitar as soon as I could get some cash together! My focus was always heavier music and soon after Van Halen I discovered Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and the NWOBHM...I still am influenced by
these bands and also draw influences of bands of the day. Anything heavy, anything good.
What sacrifices have you had to make to do what you love?
Years of little to no income...staying at home and practicing while other friends were out partying.
But for me, playing music was MY fun.
Who did you get your musical talent from?
I think everyone has musical abilities within themselves...most humans are creative and intelligent
beings. We just need to focus and sometimes work harder than others to bring that out. i worked
hard at it. It wasn't like I picked up a guitar and started wailing or singing like a bird from day one...I
was rough! But you work at it and always try to get better. Practice makes you better...not perfect.
No one is perfect.
How did you come up with the name of the band?
That was before me. But DuskMachine is a being created to help mankind...the Scientist that developed it worked at it in his secret lab at night...and it came alive at Dusk. It holds the power of day
and night. But the town people were fearful of this new discovery and tried to harm the scientist, his
family and the Machine. The Machine was enraged and became unleashed. Think Frankenstein.
Where can people find out more about the band?
www.duskmachine.com and www.fb.com/duskmachine
What are your goals for the future? Where do you hope to be in 2 years?
We want to continue to develop our musical ideas and songwriting...keep releasing tunes and take
our music out live worldwide.
What recording studio do you use?
We record everything in our own studios. It makes it so convenient and helps the mood of the creative process.
