4. How often are you guys able to get together and practice? It kind of depends in what part of the cycle we're currently in. When we are writing new songs and recording them, we don't rehearse that often.. When the album is ready and we are going to play live shows in support of the album, we rehearse our asses off. 2 to 3 times per week - loooong nights, for a long period of time, in order to get the new songs tight for our live performances. 5. Where do you guys practice at? We practice in Rolf his house, haha! He lives in an old factory via an anti-squatting housing company. He has a huge space, so we rehearse in one of the many rooms that are empty. The factory used to be an old meat processing company, so it smells like shit in there haha! 6. What got you into music, and what are your influences? I come from a musical family, but I'm kind of the black sheep. My dad and sister are both jazz musicians, they love jazz/fusion such as Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, Stanley Clarke etc. From a very young age I always wanted to play the guitar. When I started playing the guitar, I immediately got interested in heavier stuff such as System Of A Down, Slipknot et cetera. My musical taste kind of evolved into different kind of genres especially when I started singing, but my biggest influences will always be Underoath, He Is Legend, Every Time I Die. 7. What sacrifices have you had to make to do what you love? Well, I graduated from the University of Amsterdam, as a master of science in Communication Science. But when I find a great job in this field of activity, I can't just be like: "Hey, thanks for the job, but I'm on tour in November, I'm gone the entire month of January etc. etc." I have to make choices. Will I put my focus on doing what I love, or finding a job that pays well? But that I don't actually love that much? That's why I actually chose to work in a clothing shop in Amsterdam, so that I'm able to go on tour whenever I want without losing my job. It's not really much of an intellectual challenge and I am extremely poor, but hey: at least I can pay my rent and go on tour whenever :-)! 8. Who did you get your musical talent from? I'm not sure.. I think from my grandma (she was a pianist) and my dad - he plays bass.
