1. Please introduce yourself and the other members of the band, and what their spot is in the
band.
Hi, I'm Caroline Westendorp - vocalist for The Charm The Fury.
Mathijs Parent and Rolf Perdok are the guitarists, Lucas Arnoldussen plays the bass &
Mathijs Tieken is the drummer.
2. How long have you guys been together?
We've been together since 2010. We met via an online advertisement by someone looking
to form a metalband. We all kind of met through that one guy (who unfortunately didn't get
in the actual band) and it clicked!
3. What was the creative spark that pushed you to form the band?
Personally, I've always listened to bands such as Every Time I Die, He Is Legend and Underoath. It hit me that there wasn't really a band in that genre, with a female on vocals.
That's why I started looking for guys that wanted to form a band in this kind of genre.
When I met Mathijs Tieken, Mathijs Parent & Lucas Arnoldussen, it actually clicked on a
personal level. We hung out a lot, drank beers and made some music. With Rolf Perdok
joining the band a year later, we got together all the ingredients we needed for a booming
musical chemistry. That's when we sat down, wrote songs we love, and started taking everything to the next level.
