Here’s the second “Bells N Whistles”
video and it’s the final one from the
event. It’s a series of pictures from
Steve Richardson from synthpatcher.com that are quite simply fantastic! There’s some serious skill involved with taking low light pictures without a flash and as you’ll see, Steve’s the man to do it! If you check out his website you may see some bonus DivKid action too . . .
The second of the “duos” regarding types of videos here’s the first of two modular jam videos. This one (yes to the left) is based on a “drum
performance system” patch I use a lot. It involves using a pair of Make Noise Pressure Points to control preset switching for the beats
themselves, granular processing and reverb. I break the patch down fully in the video. Click HERE or play on the video.
The second modular jam video is some old school dubstep action with some awesome filthy bass action from the PDO from WMD. Using the TBVCA as an expander and the Audio Damage Sequencer 1 for modulation through the RYO Paths, there’s plenty of movement and modulation. The Make Noise Erbe Verb provides some space around the drums and feedback builds with the bass. Click HERE to watch in your browser.
Not a video for the final image but I just wanted to add (probably for the fifth time, I know I keep saying this but I’m excited!) I’ll be at Superbooth in Berlin pretty much right after this magazine goes live. I’ll be running down the event on the next Modular Podcast, in the next issue of this magazine and I’ll also have loads of videos from the event. So watch my YouTube page for those.
