Erica Synths have just uploaded a
video of their new Black Hole DSP
module and it sounds FANTASTIC!
I’ve been waiting a while for this
one as the Erica Synths Black
series of modules have all
sounded and looked great in my
system so far. Hopefully they’ll
want me to do a demo too! It’s
based on the Spin FV-1 chip that
most of the eurorack FX uses and you get several delays with varying pitch shift, low or high pass filtering, there’s a 6 tap resonanting delay, glitch delay, delay into reverb, a 4 stage reverb, room reverb, high pass saturator into a reverb, granular delay, flanger and chorus. So lots of FX, CV over the parameters and stereo in and out. Perfect! Click HERE for video or press play above.
Frap Tools, makers of fine looking modular cases have started making modules and just announced a series of three mixer modules. The Frap Tools website is comprehensive and goes through all the features there’s a module that acts like a standard mixer channel with mute, solo, peak LEDs,
two sends and panning as well as a direct output
should you need it. The second module works like
a mixing desk group with sends a mute and stereo
functionality. Finally the third module is your stereo
output with headphones cue blending, headphones
volume, main output, stereo VU meter and a main
stereo output. They look great and I’ll hopefully had
a video run down with Frap Tools from Superbooth
to film and show you all soon.
Regarding other news, I’m sure I’ve missed
something! If I have let me know at any of the links
at the end of the magazine.
