As Mutable Instruments Warps was released this month a flurry of messages came through requesting videos from me (thanks for everyone that does that by the way, I appreciate the support) as I didn’t have one ready for the release. Well videos went up a few days later and I followed the main overview with a second video looking at the ‘through zero FM’ capabilities of the internal oscillator. Warps simply is FANTASTIC! It’s labelled as a “meta-modulator” and it takes two signals and processes those through it’s various functions. Including wavefolding, cross modulation, two types of ring modulation, XOR, comparison and rectification, and three vocoder types. You get smooth knob or CV control over the functions, each mode has a timbre control and level input CV ins too!
