Hello and welcome to the second issue of “DivKid’s Month Of Modular” the response to the first issue has been great with way more shares, likes and comments etc than I expected. So a big thanks to everyone for the support. You’ll see some improvements to this issue right away and I’m aiming to stick to more content each month so you’ll find a couple more pages than last time. Just like the first issue everything underlined is a link so click away!
Each month I’ll highlight a specific eurorack module as my “Module of the Month” it’s going to be something that I use a lot and has stood the test of time in my set up. It won’t be the current the flavour of the month riding the GAS induced hype train that surrounds a lot of new releases but is a module well deserving of plenty of praise.
This month I’ve chosen the Dtech filter from Erica Synths. This is a feature expanded version of their DIY Polivoks filter with the same Polivoks back end that uses original new old stock soviet chips. It’s raw and screams when you want it to with loads of drive on the input stage but with added cut off slope control and a resonance response control you can really dial it in. Check out the video overview here.
Now this is absolutely AMAZING! Take a break and prepare yourself for a big smile and one of those nice warm fuzzy feelings that the internet occasionally rewards us with. I’ve loved the Harmonizator videos since finding them a while back. Starting with the first one I saw “Jones Big Ass Truck Rental and Storage” is a video with Jones himself advertising his, well ... Big Ass Truck Rental and Storage facilities. Harmonizator has come along and added jazz guitar to the video and it’s an must watch. Click HERE to check out that video. But the fun doesn’t stop there’s also the Hot Pepper Challenge video which nicely adds jazz chord voicing and melodic lines, click HERE for that video and stick with it.
