BEST DIVE SITES IN THE GARAJAU MARINE PARK
Garajau The dive site is just round the corner from the dive centre and can be reached in eight minutes by boat. Things get really interesting from 28 metres down; barracudas circle in the blue water, and as soon as you reach the target depth, the odd large grouper appears, seemingly delighted to see the visitors. A great spot for stunning underwater photography.

Wreck „ Afonso Cerqueira“ Sunk especially for divers, the former corvette lies upright on the seabed at a depth of 30 metres. The deck and parts of the interior are easy to explore.

Mamas( T-Reef) A dive site west of Garajau Beach, around 50 metres off the coast; marked by two boulders about 15 metres apart. You can spot sand eels, triggerfish, several species of bream and the occasional ray. Barracudas are sometimes seen circling here. With a bit of luck, you might spot a large butterfly ray nearby.
