Best Dive Sites Deep Blue Diving / Caleta de Fuste
Anfiteatro Here the fringing reef first drops steeply from 10 to approx . 15 metres ; there is a small semi-circular bulge that gives the place its name . Further ahead , the second drop-off is 20 metres . Often large stingrays in the sand , occasionally butterfly rays . On the reef there are several cleaning stations with moray eels and white-banded shrimps ; regular sightings of barracudas , amberjacks and angel sharks in autumn .

El Mirador 1.5 km long reef complex ; considered one of the top diving areas in the Canaries . It is the end of the deep-sea trench that comes up to the surface here . Red tree corals grow in some parts of the underwater landscape - according to local photographers , these are the largest in the Canary Islands . Good opportunities for schooling and large fish such as barracudas , various types of rays and often angel sharks in autumn .

La Piramide Favourite spot of the base managers ; dive site is furthest from the shore . Main rock in the shape of a pyramid . Most scenic spot ; many canyons . Always good for surprises : best chances for deep-sea fish , even manta rays and hammerhead sharks have been there . Lots of groupers and moray eels , the occasional turtle , often stingrays and eagle rays . Black corals , Macaronesia cluster anemones .
