Tell us what it is like to be a pro gamer?
The GI Joe thing - Some time ago I had recently put up a post saying that guys played first person shooters to prove that they had a bigger package than the next guy and thus were cooler than the next guy. I was in a lobby one day and there was the usual trash talking - I just worked you, yeah but you're a camper, I got more kills than your whole team, my kdr is better than yours, you're a glitcher, etc. and it sounded a lot to me like a group of 8 year olds fighting about who's the coolest or who has more legos. So to make fun of them I said in a nana-nana-nana voice, "Well I have more GI Joes than you". But then I realized that he who has the most GI Joes REALLY IS the coolest guy in the room. Imagine my panic when someone told me they weren't sure I had more, as they had quite a few themselves. I made up my mind right then and there that never again would there be any doubt as to who really was the coolest guy in the room. It occurred to me that if I "borrowed" GI Joes from everyone who signed up on our forums, that I'd always have more than the next guy and it would be clear to everyone who the coolest guy around was. The next day I "borrowed" (I'll give them back, but not until I'm done playing with them, which I'm not) a few GI Joes and I haven't looked back.
Pro Gamer - Nobody really knows what it's like to be a pro gamer. God might have some idea, having all the answers but constantly having to fight to get people to accept that doing things your way will lead to a golden age for all mankind.
