I was a part of a clan (Hx2) that was absorbed by DK. Swine, Switch, kapelmeister, and Bunni-Rabbit were also in that clan. DevilJack was with that group but left several months before the merger. There were more, not all of us decided to stay. As soon as I saw "The Oath" in the application and our mission statement, I knew immediately this was a place I wanted to be. I've always wanted to game competitively with a group who feels that teamwork and sportsmanship are important. I wanted to play with a group where everyone had enough maturity and respect for each other that we could disagree without discussing the various ways we would mount each others' mothers. I don't gaming to prove I am cool, or tough, or have a bigger package than the next guy.
It was pretty rough at the start, as I was pretty bad, and had very little multiplayer experience. A lot of guys didn't want to play with me (I don't blame them, I was running a .6 kdr - and that was playing with a team). But I was willing to learn and follow directions; I've been saying for quite a long time that I don't expect to play in competitions until I'm ready, I just want to be there to learn. When you first joined the clan, was there anyone who helped you along, and made you feel part of the clan?
