Briefly tell us about your professional background . Driskell : I am an AV-Preeminent -rated attorney and have practiced law as a business litigator for the past 15 years . Prior to that , I served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon . Anne C . Conway , a federal judge in Orlando .
What inspired you to accept this elected position ? Driskell : I decided to run for office because I felt a deep call to service and that I could leverage my position as a legislator to make positive change in my community . I also noticed that at the time I decided to run , women were underrepresented in the Florida Legislature . To wit , women comprised only roughly 25 % of the Florida House of Representatives just prior to the 2018 election . So , I ran because I saw an opportunity to bring more diversity to the legislature as well .
