What are you currently reading?
Lee: What am I reading now? I don’t like
reading as much as most, but I do enjoy
reading fishing and construction articles. Right
now I am reading articles in the Florida fishing
magazines.
Grill master or reservations?
Lee: As far as grilling out or reservations I like
both. I do like to cook, my best meal is crab
cakes but after that I am only average. Being
real honest I’d rather go to a restaurant.
If you could have dinner with anyone, living or
deceased, who would it be and why?
Lee: If I could have dinner with anyone living
or deceased, it would be my Mom and Dad.
I’m sorry I am tearing up when saying this
but they were my best friends and the best
parents anyone could have and I thank God
many times a day for them. I would fill them in
on what has been going on with our country
and show off our children and their families.
Do you have any pets?
Lee: Jill is my wife and we have been married
for almost 40 years and have two pets, Lizzie
our dog and Miss Kitty our cat. Like all of us
with pets they become family.
What is your favorite college or pro team?
Lee: I am not a sports fan but I am a semiactive
fisherman and enjoy being on the water.
You can have a bad day and just getting on
the water makes all the problems go away or
you can figure out how to fix or overcome the
problem.
What was the first car you drove?
Lee: Growing up we only had one car and
when I was 15, Mom and Dad let me start
driving our Ford Galaxy. Most of you reading
will never have heard of this car. Along with
the Galaxy, Ford also made a Falcon which
was a sporty automobile.
What is the one thing about you no one would
guess?
Lee: There are a few things that not many
people would know about me. The first
is that I am very patriotic and enjoy doing
working with the government and working
with the military. Living in Gulf Breeze I see
the Blue Angles practice every week. They
are awesome. I also enjoy listening to the “old
people” telling their stories about growing up
and working. The third is I would like to write a
book of short stories about my friends and our
adventures. The forth, Jill and I took ball room
dance and was told not to waste our money
on additional lessons.
Utility Service along with both of our families
is the reason I and my family have been
successful. Utility Service is being run just
like you would run a family. The employees
are the best assets our company has and we
all treat each other as if there is no one else
that can replace each other. We have fathers
and their son’s working, we have brothers
and son-in-laws and even daughter-in-laws
working. Most of us have been working
together over twenty years and the first
generation have been together over forty
five years.
