ANDREW SCOTT JOHNSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION BASS TOURNAMENT
ASJMSF Bass Tournament a Huge Success!
On Friday, anglers enjoyed a Dunkin’
Donuts breakfast before pushing off in their
vessels on Lake Okeechobee. Each team
weighed their catches from Day One and
the total weight of three bass caught as
well as the Big Fish were calculated. Friday
evening, the group gathered at Lunker’s
Restaurant for delicious “pub grub,” cold
brews and fish tales.
On March 12-14, 38 teams and close to
100 anglers gathered in Okeechobee
for the 20th Anniversary Andrew Scott
Johnson Memorial Scholarship Foundation
Bass Tournament. On Thursday evening,
participants gathered at On the Dock for
a scrumptious barbeque dinner and cold
beverages before the Captain’s Meeting
where John Fernandez, CROCS, LLC,
emceed the Calcutta and Todd Kersey,
Bass Online, reviewed the tournament
rules. To celebrate the 20th Anniversary,
each participant was given a coveted
Yeti fishing bucket, sponsored in part by
Dobbs Equipment. Cool hats designed by
TJ Mills, K3 Directional Drilling were also
given to each angler and long-sleeved
fishing T-shirts sporting sponsor logos were
distributed to anglers and sponsors.

Another strong day of fishing ensued
on Saturday with the final weigh-in and
determination of tournament winners
in both the Guided and Non-Guided
categories. In the Guided Category, first
place winners were Boat #10, Michael
Fernandez and John M. Fernandez, CROCS,
LLC. Second place was captured by Boat
#20, Tad Williams, Greg Lymber, and Joe
Bagford, Keefe McCullough. Third place
honors belong to Boat #3, David Lindley
and Paul Tripp, Caulfield Wheeler.
In the Non-Guided category, first place
was earned by Boat #33, Ron Scarletti and
