Moreover, Catherine devoted a minimum
of 15 hours each week to competitive
dance, a true passion she has followed
for twelve years training in jazz, tap, ballet,
lyrical, contemporary, hip hop and pointe
with competitions, showcases, workshops
and master classes to perfect her art.
Her devotion to dance resulted in two
regional titles and one national title for solo
competition and various high score and
scholarship awards over the years. to further expand and fund. Additionally,
Catherine participated in the Community
Youth Development, The Club, for six years
and was a Star Student Board member for
two years. She also managed to find time
to be a student trainer for the Community
Youth Development Volunteer Program.
Lastly, Catherine’s desire to explore a career
in the medical field lead her to pursue an
unpaid internship with a local pediatric
dentist which she held for nine months.
A proven leader, Catherine’s special
recognitions include the Girl Scout Gold
Award, Silver Award and Bronze Award.
Moreover, Catherine’s active participation as
a Girl Scout in Troop 62 from Kindergarten
thru her Senior year lead to her creation of a
sustainable program to supply dental kits to
the homeless population in Sarasota County,
an initiative which the county now plans When not studying, serving others or
dancing, Catherine enjoys spending time
with family and friends, traveling, listening
to music, watching movies and visiting the
beach.
Teachers describe Catherine as an outstanding, multi-
talented young woman with diverse interests, strengths
and passions, most notably academic scholarship,
service leadership and dance.
