Enrollment and Growth
The Mansfield Independent School District is a destination school district located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex . The district encompasses more than 94 square miles , serving students in the city of Mansfield , as well as sections of Arlington , Grand Prairie , Burleson , Fort Worth , Venus , Alvarado and Kennedale .

SERVES more than 35,500 STUDENTS .
MISD serves more than 35,500 students and counting . The district has a pre-kindergarten center , 24 elementary schools , seven intermediate schools , seven middle schools , five traditional high schools , two standalone STEM academies , a career and technology academy , an early college high school , and an alternative education center .
In fall 2021 , three new schools were opened to address the district ’ s growth . The schools , which were passed under the May 2017 bond , are Brenda Norwood Elementary School , Alma Martinez Intermediate School and Charlene McKinzey Middle School .
Even though MISD is a growing school district , it still maintains its small-town feel with different events to bring the community together .
