Mansfield ISD is home , and I ’ m honored to have the privilege to lead such a wonderful district . It ’ s well known that MISD is a great place to live , learn and teach , and that motto held true even as we navigated through the coronavirus ( COVID-19 ) pandemic .
The resiliency shown in our students , families , staff members and community was like none other . We bonded together and supported each other through every unpredictable turn . I want to thank each and every one of our community members for remaining flexible and staying the course in such unprecedented times .
Providing a top-notch education to every child is still our main goal . Even through a pandemic , our students and staff members achieved some great successes . Mansfield ISD students were still able to exceed state and regional score averages for all but one of the subjects tested in the 2021 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness ( STAAR ) exam . Also , Mansfield ISD made it on the 2021 Forbes list for America ’ s Best-in-State Employers . The district was in the top 70 places to work for the state of Texas !
Success is about more than standardized tests . We ’ re focusing on the holistic needs of students as well . Through the Vision 2030 strategic plan , we ’ re ensuring our students are college , career and life ready , while also incorporating social-emotional learning initiatives . We also encourage all of our students to be part of an extra-curricular or co-curricular activity to ignite their passion for learning while making lifelong connections with their peers .
I am blessed and so very humbled to be part of Mansfield ISD . I am looking forward to the exciting and amazing opportunities that we will continue to provide for MISD students and staff members .
