District Presidents
Ninth District Dr . Kenton Andryc I value my involvement in organized dentistry . It provides a platform for dental professionals to come together and advocate for the profession and the oral health needs of the public . Through organized dentistry , we can collaborate to promote high standards of care , provide continuing education opportunities , and influence public policy on oral health issues . It can help to protect the interests of dentists and the profession by promoting fair reimbursement for services . Organized dentistry is a vehicle to help the profession be able to advance and thrive .
My involvement in serving in a leadership role started before I entered the profession , as a junior in my undergraduate years . I was elected to serve as the class representative , and enjoyed being able to serve in that capacity . When I entered dental school , I was my class president . During that time , I was able to advocate for numerous things for myself and my classmates . I succeeded in securing more advanced composite courses , and implemented digital scanning technology , such as CERAC , for all dental students .
After dental school , I quickly became involved with my local dental association . I became president after a few years , and enjoyed helping the newer dentists get involved in our community . Eight years later , I now represent my colleagues on the district level .
My main motivation in serving my district and / or organized dentistry is my belief that I can make a positive impact on the dental profession . I appreciate the opportunity to advocate for the interests of dentists and their patients , and to help shape the future of the dental profession . I also enjoy the ability to network with other dentists and learn from their expertise . Involvement in organized dentistry has been an excellent professional development opportunity , and I value the ability to help dental professionals stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the field .
Remember that involvement in organized dentistry can be a valuable professional development opportunity that can help you grow and learn as a dentist .
My goals can be broken down in to a few main points :
Enhance patient care : One of the most important goals for dental professionals should be to provide the highest quality of care to patients . I do this by staying current with the latest research and treatments , and utilizing advanced technology and the best dental practices .
Professional development : It ’ s important for myself and other dental professionals to continuously improve our skills and knowledge . Setting goals to attend continuing education courses , workshops and conferences all help to ensure that I am providing the best care possible .
Building a strong patient base : Building and maintaining a strong patient base is essential for a successful dental practice . Setting goals for patient acquisition , retention , and referral can help to ensure that the practice is always growing and thriving .
Practice management and efficiency : It is important for not only myself , but my whole dental team , to strive for productivity and efficiency in the practice and set goals . These can include utilizing technology and tools , implementing systems for patient flow , and streamlining tasks to improve the overall running of the practice .
Personal and professional balance : My most important goal is striving to maintain a balance between my personal and professional life . As a believer in Jesus Christ , faith is a huge part of my life , as well as my family . I make sure that I set time aside daily for my children and my beautiful wife , Nathalie . I also believe it ’ s important to take care of my physical and mental health . It is valuable to have hobbies and ways to enjoy life beyond the dental office .
