EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION
Emergency contact information is required prior to the start of each school year
and needs to be updated with the school when there are changes. Be sure to
inform all individuals listed on the emergency card that they have been named
as potential caregivers in your absence. You will be notified in the event that
your child experiences an accident or sudden illness, which makes remaining
in school inadvisable. It is your responsibility as a parent or guardian to make
arrangements for proper care of your child. If you need to add a caregiver to
your emergency card, you must do so in person.
MANDATED REPORTERS
Preschool and district staff are mandated to report suspected child abuse
and neglect.
CUSTODY
In the event that a court ordered legal custody situation develops whereby a
parent or parents are not allowed to pick up your child/ children without your
consent, we ask that you state in writing that you have legal custody and give
the name and relationship of the adult that does not have a legal right to pick
up your child while at Preschool. This written and dated statement will need to
be given to the teacher, at the site, along with the copy of your legal custody
papers (to be kept on file).
FIRE, TORNADO AND LOCK DOWN DRILLS
Children and staff will participate in fire, tornado, and lockdown drills. The fire
evacuation routes are posted in each preschool room.
SCHOOL CLOSING INFORMATION
Closings will be announced over radio station (WCCO—830 AM) and the
District website: www.isd622.org. If bad weather or other emergencies cause
the closing of District 622 (North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale Schools) all
District 622 Preschool classes will also be cancelled. Class cancellations due to
weather will not be made up and refunds will not be given:
If school opening is delayed for 2 hours, District 622 Preschool morning
classes will be cancelled
If there is an early dismissal, all afternoon and evening classes are cancelled
Even though classes may not be cancelled by the School District, parents
should consider the safety of themselves and their children before traveling
in bad weather
