Analysis
To conclude this chapter, it is impor-
tant to highlight how successful the
marketing tool Twitter has been in
spreading the feminism movements
through hashtivism. In particular
within millennials, who are the main
users of twitter. Facebook has also
been extremely relevant within the
#metoo campaign, in engaging users
within the conversation at vast levels.
When analysing what this means for
marketing, social media continues to
point out a recurring theme digital

many millennials using social media to

towards fourth wave feminism. With
fourth wave characteristics increasing.
Women are coming together to battle
social issues through social media and
this means that a new wave of femi-

pioneering material that will be effec-
tive in marketing to women.
