out, dedicated lifestyle in Jesus!
B. We must change the way we look at sin and become accountable to God. Turn on TV at almost any time of the day and you’ll find thieves, child abusers, adulterers & perverts being paraded across the stage. Nudity, drinking and swearing is invading Christian homes and educating innocent minds. Church, we must take a stand! There are no substitutes for words like sin and grace! It is for this reason that Karl Menninger, M.D. in his book Whatever Became of Sin addresses the depression, gloom, discouragement and apprehensiveness which are so prevalent today. He says Carl Menninger asks “Doesn’t anyone sin anymore, doesn’t anyone believe in sin?’…The word ‘sin’ has almost disappeared from our vocabulary, but the sense of guilt remains in our hearts & minds. The prisoners punished in our jails are a small minority of all the offenders; “all we like sheep have gone astray”…Wrong things are being done we know…but is no one answerable?”
C. We must rise up and pray “God be merciful to us”! From inner city gang murders to abortion clinic executions, we have become a nation with blood on our hands. Things have gotten so bad that we consume 170 to 180 Million cans of beer each day in America to drown our sins. Yet if I were to ask you what you think is the number one sin in America? What would you say? Adultery? Fornication? Pornography? Homosexuality? Is it violence? What is the number one sin? I believe it’s idolatry. Idolatry is-- Creating a god you
feel comfortable with. Its why “Idolatry” is so devastating in America. II Tim. 4:3 says “The time will come (in the last days) when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires.” People say, “you can’t legislate morality?” But the fact is, all laws legislate morality. We have laws against murder because we believe that its not right for people to murder. Also there are laws against perjury (lying under oath), stealing, and a host of other laws. Many of these founded on the 10 Commandments and other laws within this Bible—to help us live moral lives. We must seek to get free of anything that holds us a slave to this world. In John 8:34, Jesus declares, "Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin”! We need to pursue freedom over every sin, every weight that would weigh us down from going in the Rapture, and pursue full freedom in God. We must call out to the Savior and Source of True Freedom. Tough times are coming and you can’t afford to be living away from God. Tough times are coming and you can’t afford to be left behind. If you thought UN World COVID control was something with 7.1 Million deaths confirmed worldwide and lockdown controlling nations…you won’t want to be here when the Antichrist comes. The Bible warns of the bar codes and chips that are now in place for control by the Antichrist! So as we celebrate our nation’s freedoms we must also commit to Living in lasting Freedom!
If you will respond to this invitation Jesus will set you free wherever you are and no matter what you have done. The prodigal was in a pig pen. Peter was in a boat fishing. One woman cried out and was set free who had been caught in adultery. A thief on the cross was about
