FREEDOM NEEDED FOR US & AMERICA!

Nancy DeMoss in her book The Rebirth of America says, “With the dissolving of absolutes, America’s crime rate has spiraled until it now costs taxpayers $2 billion dollars a year. A serious crime is committed every 3 ½ seconds…one murder every 27 minutes. Drug addiction & alcoholism are at pandemic proportions …Forty-three million Americans have experimented with marijuana and we now have more than 9 million alcoholics. Suicide is 2nd largest killer of teenagers. Teenage pregnancies, incest & sexual abuse draw national attention. Pornographic magazines & books crowd the newsstands…and we have given sin new names (Nancy DeMoss goes on to say) “God calls it drunkenness; we call it alcoholism, a social disease. God calls it sodomy; we call it homosexuality, gay rights, an alternative lifestyle. God calls it perversion; we call it pornography, adult entertainment. God calls it immorality; we call it new morality…” But we must wake up and realize:
I. GOD IS THE ANSWER FOR US AND WHAT THIS NATION NEEDS
A. We need True Freedom that Comes in God’s Presence
Man was originally created to live in Freedom and God’s Glory! Genesis (first book of the Bible) teaches from the beginning, the first man & woman (Adam & Eve) lived in Freedom and God’s Glory in the Garden of Eden! After they and subsequent generations sinned, God made provision by sending His Son Jesus as Savior to restore all who put their trust in Him. Jesus came and died on the cross to restore the Freedom & Presence of God to all who repent! Two thousand years ago in Acts 4:12 it was said “there is NO other name by which we must be saved”. That hasn’tchanged and we must restore Trust in Jesus and Freedom that Comes from Him! John 1:3 & 12 says “All things came into being thru Him and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being…As many as received Him, to them He gave the right
