FREE National Air and Space Museum (Udvar-Hazy Center)
The state of Virginia is home to many FREE attractions, many of which I have seen and visited. You will find that this state is very historic with many Civil War Battlefields, Colonial attractions, Presidential homes, as well as old-time towns, etc.
The first place I visited was FREE to enter, but there was a parking fee. This place is called the Udvar-Hazy Center at 14390 Air and Space Museum Parkway, in the city of Chantilly. Located near the end of Washington Dulles International Runways, the Udvar-Hazy Center is a must-see destination in northern Virginia. The
museum's massive exhibit spaces make it easy to social distance while taking in some amazing sites. The Boeing Aviation Hangar has nearly 200 aircraft on display, including an Air France Concorde, Space Shuttle Discovery, the Apollo 11 Mobile Quarantine Facility, space suits, rockets, satellites, helicopters, commercial and private airplanes, the Enola Gay plane that dropped the atomic bomb in Japan, Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, IMAX theater, and more.
