Abraham Lincoln’s Presidential Museum
Cemetery is the grave of Abraham Lincoln's mother, Nancy Hanks-Lincoln, who is the niece to my 4th great-grandmother. Most people in this tiny cemetery died of the milk sickness of 1818. Everything at this place is FREE admission.
(At the foot of Nancy Hanks-Lincoln’s grave in an unmarked grave are my 4th Great Grandparents; Levi Hall and Nancy Hanks-Hall (same First and maiden name), whose daughter Lydia married my 3rd great grandfather, Joseph Lynch)
Anyway, across the street from the boyhood home attraction is Lincoln State Park and Lincoln Lake. My family is from Hodgenville in this area of the city. inside this state park is the Little Pigeon Creek Baptist Church and Cemetery, where Abraham’s sister Sarah Lincoln is buried. Thomas Lincoln, Abraham Lincoln's father helped in building this church. Sarah Lincoln was married there as well as my 3rd great grandfather, Joseph Lynch, both a few weeks apart in the same month and year in August of 1826.

Now, this museum allows you to learn Lincoln's story starting with his boyhood home in Indiana and extending through his presidency. Children under four are admitted for FREE while older kids are $6 and adults are $15. It is open 9 am to 5 pm daily.
Springfield is where Abraham Lincoln, his wife, Mary, and three of their four sons are buried at this memorial. Inside this tomb is a park ranger to answer questions.
There is a great attraction, which is the best Presidential Museum I have ever visited, and I have been to 6 of them. The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum in the city of Springfield at 212 N. 6th St., is both a library full of history as well as a museum that tells the story of Lincoln's life, whose buildings are next door to one another.
