”Spirit of Norfolk cruise boat that has scenic tours for lunch & dinner cruises”
This next attraction is the 600 acre Arlington Cemetery which is in Virginia. This is the former home and land of General Robert E. Lee who had his land and house taken away after he join the Confederate army.
Interred here are some 400,000 heroes, 2 Presidents and others. You will see the Lee House that can be accessed, Marine Corp War Memorial, Presidents John F. Kennedy and William H. Taft gravesites, and witness the changing of the guard at the “Tomb of the Unknown Soldier". There are many other memorials and famous gravesites to view here.
I was here during the fall months and the view of Washington DC in the near
distance is spectacular with vibrant fall colors during this time of the year from a higher up elevated view. There is so much to see and do in Virginia which is very scenic this time of the year, and also Mount Vernon where George Washington lived back in the 1700’s with outdoor views of the land that surrounds his home, plus many more famous homes to list.
There are so many other outdoor attractions in this state which all would make for a memorable vacation with all to see and do here in November. The weather during this time of year is warmer than here in Michigan. Have fun and plan ahead of time with more information given on their website!
