Marital Time
Management
One of the most prevalent reasons why people have affairs in a marriage is because one will say of the other that he or she does not make time for each other. Next to poor money management and bad sex, poor time management for couples leads to the irreconcilable statement before the divorce judge. I don't know if they do not know how to manage their time or if they just do not wish to try, but whatever the reason may be, marriages are torn apart because of this factor. Even though many couples who get married know before the nuptials that their spouses have a hectic schedule and still elect to marry them, I feel that the problems could have been avoided if they would have discussed this matter before they married. It is not fair to either one when your marriage is destroyed when all it could take to fix it is a few minor adjustments in the scheduling and utilizing time wisely (I Corinthians 7: 1 - 5).
Personally, I do not know anyone who is busier than the ex- President of the United States, yet so far we have not heard of any scandals during Obama’s presidential term. In fact, I recall reading
somewhere where Barack and Michelle actually had date nights, and I am sure as often as possible, she traveled with her hubby. My point is this, if someone who ran and managed the most powerful country in the world could keep his marriage together---well I think you get the point. It's a choice to manage your time wisely especially when there is someone else involved in your life and it's shared. Often misplaced time is due to selfishness and self-centeredness. This can actually be displayed on both ends too. Both parties must want to spend quality time with their spouse and must understand the importance of it.
