Ms. Kathleen Gunther was the first lady to be involved with the store when it was in Southgate. At the time, the store was owned by two gentlemen who really did not know what they were doing, especially when it came down to health and wellness. They were primarily in it for the money taking advantage of the whole concept, but their hearts were not into nutrition, not like Kathleen. Kathleen confided in me that she became very ill with cervical cancer and she was dissatisfied with the methods the medical professionals were using for healing her illness. She decided that she would take the holistic approach and take responsibility for her own healing, which included eating differently and exercising her strong faith in God. Her search for knowledge became her passion and then she discovered her mission in life.
The twins, Annette and Janette, on the other hand, had a different story to tell. They were always around healthy and holistic practices due to their upbringing. When the opportunity to join Kathleen in running their own health store was offered to them, they knew the open door was God sent. The previous owners no longer wanted to play store and they were willing to allow this venture to be taken on by someone who had the passion and knowledge to make it a success.
