with azure eyes and would climb into her daddy's lap, snuggle up with a wide smile and purr "This is my safe place!" Dads/husbands, YOU are the "safe place” she says. You are our protector and provider. When you gather us for a time with God, we need a safe place, not a lecture. A very human dad/husband who simply cares about God and us. We don't need or want a "spiritual giant." We just want YOU! We need a gathering time with phone, TV and internet unplugged where it's safe to say to each other, "How are you and the Lord getting along? What can we pray today?" We need a safe place to cry, laugh, challenge, share… We need YOU!”
Pray this Legacy Challenge with Dads… “Father God, Thank you for father-figures around us and for the ways you use them. We know that no earthly father is perfect, but any Dad or person can become a new person when they surrender to you! I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me of my sin, unforgiveness and falling short of your standard. This Father’s Day we choose to focus on your life-giving ways in us and thru us…and trust you will work to bring the very best into our lives and homes. Come into hearts and help us use the spiritual weapons of warfare to bring victory and peace to our homes! Help us to get into Family Prayer and Bible Reading so we can we see your righteous ways and fulfill your special purposes in us. In Jesus’ Name. Amen!”
