loved us!” You can turn your worry into worship. Thank God He's fighting your

battle! Isa. 54:17 says “no weapon formed against you will prosper”. The reality is:

B. You weren’t created to live worried, uptight or on edge but in the peace of the

Lord Jesus Christ. This is the reason many people have health issues, can't sleep at

night, their food doesn’t digest, they have ulcers…is because their mind is never at

rest. They're constantly trying to figure everything out, worried about their health, upset about their job, stressed-out over their family…when I Peter 5:7 says to “cast all your cares & anxieties over on Him (Jesus), because He cares for you!” You must learn to turn things over to God, because you weren't designed to carry that heavy load. Switch over from problems to praise, from restlessness to rest! "Trade Your Peace For His" as you 2ndly…

II. TRUST GOD’S ETERNAL PLANS

A. Instead of worrying, the child of God is counseled to pray and trust. Verses 6-7

say “in everything by prayer…let your requests be made known to God. And the

peace of God which surpasses all comprehension will guard your hearts and minds

that trust in Christ Jesus.” Prov. 3:5 says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and

do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He

will make your paths straight and successful!” You see…

B. You may not know what the future holds, but as a child of God we know who

holds the future. Don't miss today, worried about tomorrow. Today is a gift that you can never get back. Allow God’s grace to cover you and don’t get downcast and worried about things that likely will

offence, Jer. 1:19 says "They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you”. We see two things here in Phil. 4:6…

1. A Caution To Observe – “Be anxious for nothing” or literally “Do not worry about

anything!” Worry refers to “a troubled state of mind resulting from concern about current or potential difficulties.” The Bible gives a number of great reasons to not worry: (a) God knows what you have faced– Prov. 15:3 “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, watching the evil and the good.” Psa. 37:23 “The steps of a good man are established by the Lord, and He delights in his way”. (b) God cares about what you face in life – Heb. 12:2 “fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of faith”, (c) God has promised to take care of you – Phil. 4:19 “My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus”.

2. A Command To Obey –“…but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Pray instead of worry because I John 4:18 says “There is no fear or worry in love, for God’s perfect love casts out fear!” Worry comes from an Old English word that means “to strangle”. In reality, worry will choke faith, God’s purposes and life right out of you! That’s because worry calls God a liar; it doubts His ability and Rom. 14:23 says “whatever is not from faith is sin”. You can believe the lies worry sends your way…That pain in your side is dangerous. You'll never get married. You'll never get a better job, “the odds are against you", or you can believe the truth in Rom. 8:32 “If God is for us who is against us?” (v. 37) “But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer thru Him who
