Now, if you love animals, you will love the Louisville Zoo. Opened in 1969, the Louisville Zoo currently exhibits more than 1,100 animals on 130 acres of natural settings representing zoogeographical areas, specific habitat types, or special education areas including Glacier Run, Africa, Islands, New World Exhibits (North, Central, and South America), Australian Outback, the Herp Aquarium, and the Metazoo Education Center. They are located at 1100 Trevilian Way.

If you have kids or teens on your trip, they may like this next place called, Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay. Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay

offers more than 70 thrilling rides, and 6 rollercoasters and water attractions! In 2014, this place doubled the size of Hurricane Bay Water Park, adding eight new attractions and the world's tallest body slide. Sounds like a lot of fun! They are located at 937 Phillips Lane.

Racetrack, access to the Gift Shop, Kentucky fare in the Derby Cafe Express, and so much more! They are located at 704 Central Avenue.

You will also see Churchill Downs while you are here. This beautiful racetrack has been the home of the Kentucky Derby since 1875. With a walking tour of the museum, grounds, and stables you get a chance to view one of the most famous horse racing tracks in this country. As part of your admission into the Kentucky Derby Museum, you get a tour of the great Churchill-Downs.

Here is a fun place that I have been to when staying in town for the night in the summer months, and that is Louisville Slugger Field. The baseball stadium opened in 2000 with a seating capacity of 13,131. It is currently home to the Louisville Bats, a Triple-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, and Louisville City FC
