THE SPIRIT IN YOU

price we must pay to obtain and maintain freedom.

When I am home during the day, I find myself watching some of the courtroom shows, such as Judge Mathis, The People's Court, and Paternity Court. I do not watch them for the reasons most people do, I watch them to get ideas for my books, and other writing materials. In addition, it gives me ideas for my workshops. There is a lot of material dealing with relationships on these shows as you may not realize. But the point I wish to make is this, the people who are caught up in an immoral lifestyle having multiple sexual partners, living common law, marrying people they do not like or love just to get over on someone, are living in the worst kind of bondage. They may think because they have freedom to make these choices that they are free, but they are not. They bring unlimited hardship and mayhem to themselves and others around them. Their lives are plagued with a lot of stress and depression, which will ultimately lead to sicknesses, diseases and eventually death.

When you do good, you stop ignorant people from saying foolish things about you. This is what God wants. Live like free people, but don't use your freedom as an excuse to do evil. Live as those who are serving God. Show respect for all people. Love your brothers and sisters in God's family. Respect God, and honor the king, (I Peter 2: 15 - 17, ERV).

It is uncanny that most people do not understand that true freedom comes from having a disciplined life (Galatians 5:1). When you make good choices and adhere

to the principles that God has given mankind to live by, then you can live the abundant life and experience true freedom that comes with much contentment and happiness. Freedom is not free to experience in and of itself, but you are free to do whatever you want to do. But understand that when there are bad choices made, you must be ready to live with the consequences; sometimes the consequences are not always bearable. Again, freedom does not mean free to sabotage your existence, freedom means living a wholesome, fulfilled, abundant life; its acting responsibly within the guidelines and parameters that govern our society that is based on the word of God. When this happens then and only then will you come to experience "Freedom".

My brothers and sisters, God chose you to be free. But don't use your freedom as an excuse to do what pleases your sinful selves. Instead, serve each other with love, (Galatians 5: 13, ERV).
