That will be the case as Tommy Thomas directs a stellar ensemble cast of teens , 6th – 12th grades , as they perform The Addams Family : Young @ Part . Join Morticia , Gomez , Uncle Fester , Grandma and the whole motley crew as Wednesday Addams , the ultimate princess of darkness , has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet , smart young man from a respectable family whom her parents have never met . She confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother . Now , Gomez Addams must do something he ’ s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife , Morticia . How will this end ? Hysterically , to be sure !
The young cast , all kids , are a remarkably talented group , says Tommy Thomas , who is enjoying his 8th season directing the youth . “ Kids are more open to trying new things , are willing to be outside the box ,” says Thomas . “ where adults tend to stick to the script as its written .” Also led by assistant director , Devin Powers , choreographer Jackie Jones , and music director Heather Prophet , the cast will stage such numbers as “ When You ’ re an Addams ,” “ One Normal Night ,” “ Gomez ’ s What If ?” and “ Death is Just Around the Corner ,” among others .
