JURASSIC WORLD

VELOCIRAPTOR

We've all watched a Jurassic Park or a Jurassic World movie, a series of movies that portray raptors as extremely intelligent scary medium-sized dinosaurs. It turns out that raptors weren't that intelligent after all.

The study of the Velociraptor made scientists reach a conclusion that even though their skulls were big for their

bodies, their intelligence wasn't as important as it was portrayed. Additionally, they weren't even that big as their skeletons is actually the size of that of a modern-day turkey, and they were completely covered in feathered. Velociraptors should be thought of as close relatives to birds so it only makes sense that they cared for their hatchlings.

DILOPHOSAURUS

The Dilophosaurus made its appearance in the first Jurassic Park movie and killed Dennis Nedry. Although the dinosaur is well represented in terms of size, there is no proof that Dilophosaurus ever possessed frills or was even able to spit fire.

In real life, Dilophosaurus had a crest on its head and was a predator but not the kind of predator who needs acid before it attacks as it was skilled hunter.

JURASSIC PARK II:

T-REX vs spinosaurus:

One of the most famous scenes of all time is the fight scene between Spinosaurus and Tyrannosaurus Rex from Jurassic Park II. Scientifically and historically, that fight drips in inaccuracy as Spinosaurus and T-Rex lived on different continents seperated by millions of years. Additionally, Spinosaurus was actually a fish eater and not an apex predator, so despite being the largest carnivore of all time, it is unlikely that it could bite through the neck of the T-Rex.
