DillySeed Magazine End of Year Review | Page 20

rap session - interviewer's notes

Amidst his day-to- day life, often celebrating inspirational quotes by powerful figures that promote love, humility, growth and unity—with feedback from friends and followers on social media much too little to mention—a prophecy was being made by [the late] Dr. Myles Munroe that possibly could have included the subject of DillySeed’s first interview.

Prior to the July 10, 2014 Bahamas Independence Celebrations, Dr. Myles Munroe forewarned us that:

“There shall emerge in the next 12 months leaders you never saw before….young men and women emerging whose ideas will blow your mind…they will have a Spirit upon them. It will be a Spirit of God. And they will take us into the next Bahamas.”

Truth or wishful thinking, prophecy or a figment of our creative imaginations, our subject does fit the prophesied profile. Asked, “How do you feel about the notion that you might be one of the young men and women that were predicted to emerge by the late Dr. Myles Munroe,” our personality for the month of January 2017 bellowed a resounding, “No!”

Taking into account notable events that followed however—founded Our Carmichael, Our Grand Bahama, WeMarchBahamas, nominated for the Bahamas Icon Awards for humanitarianism, recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award, approached by just about every political party—the man we know today as Ranard Henfield likely did not exist in our minds in 2014. Yet upon returning home from the March that dominated community conversations Black Friday 2016, his instant messages were up to 792, taking him almost a week to read, as more continued to flood his account/s every day that followed. Due to his monumental achievements in 2016, Ranard Henfield, activist, humanitarian, businessman, lawyer, husband, and father, was selected as the personality for this our first edition.

The popular originator for We March Bahamas proceeded to offer a long list of people with whom he felt the credit should be shared. He also talked about the huge contingent Our Carmichael (http://ourcarmichael.wixsite.com/est2015) is taking to China—but it’s much more involved than that, he talked about the after-care programme for children, then about Crime. And the drone. Our Carmichael has a drone that acts as a search and rescue tool for the community. It assists in theft, any illegal activity, trash reports, locating persons, etc…pretty advanced, and this is controlled by the community! Yes, by the community, through the free Our Carmichael app. To explain, anyone can send a message to the drone and have it launched in three minutes, from their own device. In fact, it has had a significant success rate and even policemen have used the assistance of the drone in reports of crime in the area.

Pretty incredible.
