Welcome in the school “College Trois
Mares” - Le Tampon Reunion Island France
Discovery it through many subjects
The "Collège Trois Mares" - Le Tampon was opened
for the first time in the 15th of September 1978.
Today, around 940 students study in the school The
school building and sports playgrounds are at the
same time new and modern and teaching in the
school is realized in classrooms designed for each
subject separately (classroom for English, classroom
for biology, etc.). In the school have 2 classrooms
which are dedicated to learn English with tablets, 2
others are dedicated to learn maths and also 2
classroom are equipped with computers.
Also, many of the classrooms are equipped with
projectors, which allows teachers in an interesting way
through the presentations to realized their teaching.
All this creates a very friendly atmosphere for teaching
and friendship between students.
During the visit we were pleasantly surprised by the
information that every afternoon school activities
begin with 10 minutes of reading for everyone in the
school with the message “Silence, we are reading”.
This activity is now completely in habit, with target to
create a desire for reading in children and young
people.
Our first visit was an English lesson
from teacher Mrs Lallemand and
the students were aged 13-14, which
were organized to work in groups of 4 students. They used
tablets to saw the story for electronical innovation and
dictionaries for the unknown words, then there was a
discussion for story according from the teacher's questions in
very relaxed atmosphere, because the lessons in the school
are from 55-60 min.
