Renae Hinchey was honored by the Woman ’ s Club of Laguna Beach as its 2024 Woman of the Year at a luncheon in June ; Hinchey has been a member of the Club for 24 years and served as its board president in 2008 . Hinchey was the first woman in OC to work as general manager of a water district , serving in that position at Laguna Beach County Water District from 2000 until her retirement in 2020 and making sure to secure the district ’ s groundwater rights during her tenure .
