‫ֶא‬ ‫ת‬ ‫ת‬ ‫־‬ ‫׃הו־‬ ֶ ‫ת‬ ‫־‬ ‫א‬ ‫ת‬ ‫י‬ ‫ִ֖ו‬ ֶ‫ת‬ ֵּ֣‫׃‬ ‫וו‬ ‫הי‬ ִ֥ ‫י‬ ֹ֣ ‫ןא‬ ָ‫ו‬ ַ ‫י‬ ‫־‬ ‫׃־‬ ‫ו‬ ‫ת‬ ֵּ֣ ‫י‬ ‫ה‬ ‫את‬ ‫י‬ ‫מ‬ ‫וָֽ־‬ ‫־ת‬ ִ ‫י‬ ֹ֣ ֶ ‫ת‬ ‫ה‬ ‫ו‬ ‫׃תה‬ ‫א‬ ִ֖ ‫י‬ ֶ
And He said, ‘What have you done? The voice of the blood of your brother cries out to me from
the ground.’
4:11
‫ָא‬ ‫־ו‬ ‫ת‬ ‫ה‬ ‫ת‬ ‫י‬ ָ‫ו‬ ַ ִ֖ ‫י‬ ‫׃־‬ ‫ו‬ ‫ת‬ ִ֥ ֵּ֣ ‫י‬ ‫ה‬ ָֽ ‫׃ה‬ ָֽ ֶַ ‫־י‬ ֶ ‫ת‬ ‫וֶ־‬ ‫י‬ ‫־‬ ָֽ ‫׃ה‬ ֶ ָֽ ‫־‬ ‫־ןה‬ ‫ו‬ ‫הא‬ ‫ה‬ ‫׃‬ ֶַ ‫ת־‬ ‫׃הו־‬ ֶ ‫ת‬ ‫־‬ ‫א‬ ‫ת‬ ‫י‬ ֶ ‫מ־‬ ‫׃‬ ִ ‫־‬ ‫־ו‬ ‫ו‬ ‫׃־‬ ֶ ‫ֶֹ֣מ‬
‫־‬ ‫יה‬
So now be cursed from the ground which has opened her mouth to take the blood of your brother
from your hand.
4:12
‫מא‬ ‫ו‬ ‫ה‬ ‫׃‬ ‫ת‬ ‫־‬ ‫־‬ ִֶ֥ ‫וה‬ ‫ֶה‬ ‫מ‬ ‫ת‬ ‫י‬ ‫ִ֖ו‬ ‫י־ת־‬ ‫ִ֥י‬ ‫ת־‬ ‫ִל‬ ‫ת־‬ ‫ִ֖ת‬ ַ ‫־‬ ‫ֹּא‬ ָֽ ֵּ֣‫מ‬ ‫ו‬ ‫ת‬ ִ֥ ֵּ֣ ‫ָֽא‬ ‫׃‬ ‫א‬ ‫ת‬ ‫ת‬ ֶ ‫ת‬ ‫־‬ ‫ ׃הו־‬ ֶ ‫־‬ ָֽ ‫׃ה‬ ַ‫ו‬ ‫א‬ ֹ֣ ‫ה‬ ָֽ ‫ת‬ ֶ ‫ו‬ ֹּ ‫י‬
When you work the ground it will not give you her strength again. You will be a vagrant
wandering on the earth.’
4:13
‫׃א‬ ‫א‬ ‫ת‬ ‫ת‬ ‫ֹֽׂה‬ ‫ת‬ ‫י‬ ‫ת‬ ִ֖ ‫י‬ ‫ֹ֣היא‬ ‫את‬ ‫־ו‬ ִ֥ ‫ל‬ ִֶ ‫ֶי־‬ ‫וה‬ ‫ת‬ ‫׃ה‬ ‫א‬ ‫וי‬ ‫י‬ ִ֖ ֶ ‫ו‬ ‫׃תה‬ ‫א‬ ִ֥ ‫י‬ ֶ
And Cain said to the Lord, ‘My iniquity is too great to bear.
4:14
‫וא‬ ‫תתי‬ ‫א‬ ֵּ֣ ‫ו‬ ‫ה‬ ֶֶ‫ת‬ ‫ו‬ ֶ ‫ו‬ ‫׃‬ ִ֖ ‫י‬ ‫ןה‬ ‫תא‬ ‫ֹ־ת‬ ִֶ֥ ‫ו־‬ ‫ֶ־‬ ‫יה‬ ‫מ‬ ‫ו‬ ‫ה‬ ‫׃‬ ‫־‬ ‫֥־‬ ַ‫ת־ו‬ ‫י‬ ‫־‬ ‫י‬ ‫ת־‬ ‫ו‬ ָֽ‫ו‬
‫ו‬ ‫י‬ ‫ֶ־‬ ‫יה‬ ‫ו‬ ָֽ ִ ֵּ֣ ‫־‬ ‫׃ה‬ ָ‫ִ֖ו‬ ‫־תה‬ ‫־ת‬
ֶ ‫ת‬ ‫־‬ ‫׃הו־‬ ֶ ‫ת‬ ‫־‬ ‫ו‬ ֵּ֣‫ת‬ ‫ה‬ ‫ת‬ ַ ֹ֣ ֶ ֵּ֣‫ת‬ ‫או‬ ‫י‬ ֶֶ ‫ו‬ ָֽ ‫י‬ ‫׃א‬ ‫מ־‬ ‫א‬ ‫ה‬ ‫ֵּ֣ו‬ ֶַ ‫ל‬ ‫א‬ ֵ ֵֶּ֣
Behold, you have cast me out this day from the face of the ground and from Your face, and I will
be a vagrant wandering the earth, and it shall come to pass that anyone who encounters me will
kill me.’
4:15
