Greetings and salutations!

My name is Paul and as one of the Digital Cities editorial team, it is my great pleasure to personally welcome you our magazine. This has been a wonderful collaboration between myself and a few of my fellow students and friends and we all hope you like what you see.

Since I’m the only one in the team that is native to Edinburgh, I’ve had a great time working on this particular issue by re-exploring this wonderful city that I love. Having been born and raised in Scotland’s beautiful capital, in the Dalry area, I’m well aware of what this city has to offer to anyone. Growing up here was great for me as this place is truly special in so many ways, whether I would be having picnics with family or supporting my local team Hearts, this place will always be special to me for so many reasons.

My professional background is in interactive media that I have been studying at Edinburgh’s Napier University for the past year with the other contributors of this magazine. In an attempt to make this online publication as fun and engaging as possible, we have included several different types of media that we feel is relevant to what you want to see in a magazine of this type. Of course, we can only give you a taste of what Edinburgh is like but hopefully we’ve given you enough that may encourage you to visit for yourself and experience everything for yourself.
