What have you enjoyed most about running Redline Derby?

The best part of Redline Derby for me is when I get a message or note from someone telling me how racing gave them the perfect excuse to get back into playing with Hot Wheels. Playing with toys is something we all did and loved, but we naturally grow out of it. Then it seems later in life we long for those days when all you had to worry about was having fun. For most that means finding some collectible action figure or key chain and that's where it ends...a bunch of stuff that talks about your fandom. But Redline Derby gives everyone the perfect excuse to not only get back into collecting cars, but to actually play with them. Plus, there are things you can do with Hot Wheels as an adult with expendable income that you could only dream of when you were a kid...we'll help you figure that out too.

Redline Derby used to have a Fantasy League. Tell us a little bit about that.

Ah the Fantasy League. The Redline Derby Fantasy League was one of those things I could do as an adult that I couldn't do when I was a kid. It started back around 2009. I made myself a race track and took my mid-sized collection of cars and started doing 16-car tournament brackets. What made it somewhat unique, at least at that time, was that I had turned the Redline Derby web site into a pick 'em style bracket game where anyone could sign-up and pick the cars they thought would win each race.
