Redline Derby is focused on racing, how did you get into racing?

I mean, as kids we all raced Hot Wheels, right? But as far as getting into more formal racing, it began back when I started collecting Hot Wheels as an adult. I had a small collection going on and was trying to think of other things I could do with them rather than just put them on a shelf. I was wandering around the internet one day and came across an article about a bar in Omaha, Nebraska that had formed a Hot Wheels racing league. Bar patrons could bring their own cars or do a blind pull and then they had a track on location and they'd race. It sounded like a great idea and then I started thinking about doing the same. Now, my plans never got so far as to being a bar league or traveling track, but it did plant the seed of how could I organize Hot Wheels racing online in some fashion. And that led directly to the Redline Derby Fantasy League which is what really kicked things off for me and the site.
