Dickies, the internationally renowned workwear brand
supplied overalls to the Antarctic Heritage Trust for
their Port Lockroy operation.
The United Kingdom Antarctic Heritage Trust (UKAHT)
works to conserve Antarctic buildings and artifacts,
and to promote and encourage the public's interest in
its Antarctic heritage.
Port Lockroy is not only an important natural and
historic environment, but also a destination for many
from around the world who want to come and learn
more about the Antarctic. One role of UKAHT in this is
both as monitor and regulator.
Anna Malaos, from United Kingdom Antarctic Heritage
Trust said: “Port Lockroy continues to go from strength
to strength and is very much the shop window of the
trust in the Antarctic. It continues to be the most
visited site in Antarctica and this year we welcomed
over 18,000 visitors to the museum.
